Despite the fact that the Wii has destroyed the competition in the console wars, the good old Playstation 2 is still played more according to a new Nielsen report. The report suggests that gamers play at least one-seventh of “console minutes” compared to the PS2 taking in a hefty 31.7% of gamers time. Xbox 360 is being played more than the Wii, though the PS3 trails behind after the original Xbox.

The good news is that the Wii has increased in “console minutes” from a 2007 statistic showing the Wii taking in 5.5% of gamers time, while in 2008 the Wii takes 13.4%.
