F-Zero X being ported to the Wii?

Thanks to Hypercat (Link), apparently the ESRB had recently listed F-Zero X down for the Wii (it has suddenly disappeared), which could suggest that the game is being ported over to the Wii. For now, just take it as a rumour.

   It’s supposed to be coming to the VC in NA in June…
   It would be a good original series on Wii, but why port a 10 year old game?
   Perhaps they intend to allow for full Wii-mote options? My speculation…

   By porting I guess you mean that you control the game with the Wiimote by moving it?
   I also see Wave Race, Pilotwings, StarFox and F-Zero in that article alongside F-Zero X, and the word Wiiware. Weird.

   F-Zero…X….rather than GX…wtf?

   i find this gay as they could have added it to VC anyway and cheaply, rather than make a port of it , paying a ton more too, with just a different control system.
   I realy want this to be a rumor or i will increase my douts of Nintendo

   Yoshi was also up there. I’m guessing they’re impyling the NES game, though let’s hope for WiiWare.

   WIIWARE or VC.. works for me..

   i already bought the SNES F ZERO and N64 F ZERO on my WII.. i couldn’t resist.. its too much fun and brings back many memories.. (well not the n64 one cause i didn’t play it much but i loved and still love the SNES one)

   i mean technically we can pick up the GC F ZERO on EBAY real cheap…

   but i mean if they take F ZERO and add wii controls it would be okay.. but what if they added ONLINE??? or could they do that with WIIWARE? but then maybe it would be too big to fit on the memory.. so it needs to be on a dvd…

   who knows.. lets wait and see

   That’s exactly what I was speculating! Not only would F-Zero be a great game to play like _ (Wii steering wheel format), if F-Zero X, an N64 game, gets Wii control… *COUGH*(goldeneye)*COUGH*
