Neo Geo listing on Nintendo Japan site, Another system coming?
Posted by: dvbrevolution in 1. Wii News & ArticlesWe all know that Neo Geo games are heading to the Wii’s Virtual Console. Now it appears (thanks to B!NO) that Nintendo of Japan has finally listed Neo Geo as an upcoming platform that will be compatible with the Wii. Oddly enough, there is an empty spot in the second of VC platforms that could suggest that the Wii’s Virtual Console may be getting another platform. Just what could it be? Any guesses?

MSX is listed there. Or are there already MSX games in the virtual console?

MSX is currently only available in Japan for 800 Wii points.

Neo-Geo games take up alot of space…I remember hearing Wii 512mb wouldnt handle this???? Dont know if thats true though…
But if it is…wouldnt that mean a HDD would need to be introduced?

ROFL, DVB, this is how we found out that the Neo Geo was coming to the VC back in February.
The biggest Neo Geo game is around 85 MB. That’s a few of the games that came out late in Neo Geo life. Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves, Samurai Shodown 5 and Special and the King of Fighters 2003 fall in that category.

Before Nintendo pushing any more systems onto the Wii’s VC they need to figure out something to do with the storage issues. A single DreamCast game OR Sega Saturn game would completely fill the Wii’s internal memory and then some.
Where are those external HDDs at, Nintendo?

Same here the memory on the Wii is a major quote “Major” issue
and it needs to be solved before any new consles come to the virtual consle
