Rumour: Tales of the Abyss, Tales of the Harmony heading to Wii?
Posted by: dvbrevolution in 1. Wii News & ArticlesRumour has it that Namco-Bandai will announce on Monday that Tales of the Abyss and Tales of the Harmony are heading to the Wii. Of course nothing has been confirmed but it seems Jeux-France is positive that these are the games to be announced on Monday.

The problem with jeux-france is they’re stealing other sites news and never give any credit to them.
So we don’t know the real source of the rumors.

We’ll find out this Monday whether it’s true or not. It’d be fantastic if it is, though, as I love the Tales series…

I think the tales series on the Wii is a shoe-in. I did very well on the GameCube. Also, the PS3 and and XBox 360 don’t strike me as great places for this kind of game at present. (The PS3 will be better in a year or two though.)
A lot of news articles that pop up on codenamerevolution also are on http://www.nintendo-inside.jp/. But I don’t see this rumor on it, so maybe jeux-france uses a different source.

I hope this is true. Now this kind of PS2 porting to the Wii I can live with. In fact, I demand it. Now let’s get some Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, FFVIII, etc. too. I mean if we’re going to dine on PS2 ports for a while (seeing that many third-party developers took a wait and see approach and probably only started now to take the Wii seriously, and who knows what games they’ll make) might as well be the best games on it instead. For the same amount of money I’d rather them use it to port great blockbuster games from the PS2 than make new games that might turn out to be mediocre.
