40 Launch-Window Titles for the Wii (as of August 12th, 2006)
Posted by: dvbrevolution in 1. Wii News & ArticlesTake a look at the list I have compiled based on numerous sources that reveal that the Wii currently has over 40 Launch-Window titles. It is important to note that some may only be for Japan and that this is not a fixed list directly from Nintendo so it is subjected to change. Also it is important to note that the Wii launch period was confirmed to be within 90 Days from ‘Revolution’ Day.

I had no clue Pokemon was going to be near the launch date either…there hasn’t been much information on it yet. How can some games get away with being launch titles when they’re untitled?

Yah Dragon Quest was confirmed at E3 to be a launch title but now according to last night’s IGN Podcast (I just found out) it’s not coming which is weird…also regarding Pokemon we have to remember that Iwata said it will come out right after Pearl and Diamond, besides it only makes sense to bring it out since Pearl/Diamond interacts with Battle.

Yeah, the fact that I didn’t see Dragon Quest listed at all was my first point. I guess I was right about it after all. :p

@Diddy
Regarding the following:
Untitled Eidos Project
Untitled Marvelous Project
Untitled Namco Project
It’s more like ‘unknown’. Eidos project could very well be Tomb Raider Legend. As for Marvelous, it’s possibly Harvest Moon Heroes while the Namco project could be something like Final Furlong.

Pokemon was just said to release late 2006 in Japan. I doubt it will be out at launch much less in America this year. Since the game revolves around D/P games. Which have no release date scheduled for this year in America.

@Vaati
Hey, Pkmn Revolution could very well be a launch title….In the video it shows the main characters from FireRed and LeafGreen so it’s possible that it hooks to the GBA through the Gamecube Controller ports. That’d be freakin’ sweet! If PKMN Battle Revolution is WiFi compatible, we could see online battles before D/P even hits the shelves! Sure, we’d probably have to wait on online trading since I doubt it’d have any sort of online trading engine, but still. I’m ready for Pokémon Online. Netbattle’s great, but it’s to easy to fake stats. You really don’t have to raise any pokémon….you just enter in the stats you want and the moves you want.
